KANSA THERAPY
About Kansa Therapy
Kansa Vatki Foot Massage is a traditional Ayurvedic healing technique that involves massaging the feet and lower legs using a special metal bowl called the Kansa Vatki, which means “metal bowl” in Sanskrit. This bowl is made from a blend of three healing metals: copper, zinc, and tin, each believed to have powerful health benefits.
The therapy begins by cleansing the feet and legs to relax the body and prepare it for the massage. Then, using medicated oils chosen according to your Dosha (body type in Ayurveda), the therapist gently massages the toes, feet, ankles, and calves.
The main feature of this massage is the use of the Kansa bowl, which is rubbed on the soles of the feet in circular and sweeping motions. This helps to stimulate energy points, balance the body’s energies, and promote deep relaxation.
Each metal in the bowl plays a unique role:
Copper helps reduce pain and inflammation.
Zinc supports the immune system and digestion.
Tin is believed to help with headaches, insomnia, and digestive issues.
Benefits of Kansa Vatki Foot Massage:
Promotes deep relaxation and mental calmness
Helps detoxify and balance energy (Doshas)
Improves circulation in the feet and legs
May reduce joint pain, swelling, or fatigue
Supports better sleep and stress relief
This therapy is gentle, non-invasive, and deeply soothing. It is especially useful for people who spend long hours on their feet, feel mentally exhausted, or want to balance their body’s natural energies in a holistic way.
